Our Community

Are you living on less? Are you Looking for More? God is doing great things in the City. City Heights Assembly is located in the Mid-City area and we are seeking to restore God's people to fullness of life. To accomplish this we try to keep things simple:

We Depend on God - We are people that follow the Lord.  We rely upon His word and we are led by the Holy Spirit.

We Develop People - City Heights Assembly is focused on the development of God's people. We have an expectation of growth in the Life of the Christ. We believe that development will be noticeable and measurable. Our fullness should be on display.

We Display God's Love - We love because God first loved us.  The display of God's love is an overflow of the work of the Spirit in the life of the Believer.

We Desire God's Presence - In the presence of God is Fullness of Joy.  Daily prayer, Daily time in the word brings us near to God.  The closer we can come to God the greater our Joy.  It is our goal that as you join us in worship you will experience the presence of God.

Our Purpose

City Heights Assembly looks just like City Heights. You can fit here. Many of us are overcoming destructive patterns of living that dominated our previous lives. We have found that we are indeed new creations in Christ. We had become used to living on less but are now finding fullness in Christ. We strive to find fullness in three areas:

1. Fullness in our relationship with God

2. Fullness in our Relationships with One another

3. Fullness in the Expression of how God has Made us

We Believe ...

...the Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and authoritative Word of God.
...there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.
...in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles
...in Jesus' vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father
...in Jesus' personal, future return to this earth in power and glory to rule over the nations.
...the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance and faith in the precious blood of Christ.
...that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for personal salvation.
...in water baptism by immersion
...the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing of the human body in answer to prevailing prayer.
...the baptism in the Holy Spirit, according to Acts 2:4, is given to believers who ask for it.
...in the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a holy life.
...in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation.
